Low-fidelity Embodiment

Lo-fi

Lo-fi features the study of heterogeneous populations of agents. It is a process of building an interactive A-life artwork in the context of a multi-year (begun in 2005 and ongoing) collaborative research project held by Nell Tenhaaf of the York University Department of Visual Art & Art History and Melanie Baljko of the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. This project has been funded by the New Media Initiative, which was a 2002 to 2009 joint program of the Canada Council for the Arts and NSERC, as well as the SSHRC Research/Creation Grant program.
